The failure characteristic within a wireless digital transmission system like DAB requires special concealment methods for the masking of receiving errors (interruptions). A new method modifying the well known concealment technique is described which guarantees a significant improvement for all kinds of programs of failure reaction by means of a special signal processing algorithm for the transmitting and receiving equipment. The new method is also applicable for multichannel sound systems.
