Parameters Estimation Through Continuous Wavelet Transform for Synthesis of Audio-Sounds
The wavelet transform consists of a decomposition of an arbitrary signal in terms of -elementary grains.- The choice of a so-called -progressive- wavelet, allows an easy interpretation of the modulus and the phase of the transform. We shall describe how this information leads to parameters estimation such as frequency and amplitude modulation laws. Audio examples of re-synthesis and intimate modifications of sounds will be played.
