HDTV system should have not only a high definition picture but also a high quality sound. In this paper, a proposed 3-1 quadraphonic sound system and its digital transmission system through a DBS channel with picture in the MUSE (MUltiple Sub-nyquist Sampling Encoding) system have been reviewed.
