An Introduction to Digital Audio

Digital audio can be thought to be the application of digital techniques as a whole to the processing transmission, recording, reproduction, measurement, etc. of audio signals. At present, digital audio is showing such rapid development and dissemination that it is even prophesied that in the near future, excluding special cases, all audio systems will become completely digitized excepting the microphones and loudspeakers.:
