A Microcomputer Approach to the Polyphonic Music Synthesizer

Software and hardware descriptions are given of an electronic microcomputer system designed for a cost-effective solution of the polyphonic synthesizer problem System is implemented by the National Semiconductor SC/MP 8-bit microprocessor plus semiconductor memory. Input ports are fed by a debounced keyboard, while output ports feed ten digitally controlled monophonic synthesizers by supplying them with pitch code and gate signals.
