Optimization Criteria for Distance Coding in 3D Sound Fields
In a previous paper  we have proposed the possibility to synthesis 3D sound fields over loudspeakers taking distance coding into account. This approach is based on the reconstruction of the wavefront curvature in a defined optimal listening area. Here we will investigate the quality and optimization criteria of the reconstruction performance in an objective and subjective manner.
