Symeon Delikaris-Manias is an editor of the first book of parametric spatial audio technologies by Wiley and IEEE Press. He received his B.Sc. degree in mathematics from the University of Crete, Heraklion, Greece in 2006 and his M.Sc. degree in sound and vibration from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR), Southampton, UK, in 2008 and his PhD degree in acoustics and signal processing with distinction from the school of Electrical Engineering at Aalto University at Aalto University. His PhD thesis concern parametric spatial audio processing algorithms. He is an author of several scientific publication in the field and have received scholarships from NOKIA and Aalto ELEC school.
Dr Delikaris-Manias was involved in the acoustic design and auralization with 3D audio of several important buildings in the UK while working as an acoustic consultant at GS Acoustics, London. He had a major involvement in the acoustics study and design of the Velodrome for the London Olympic Games, 2012 and the refurbishment of the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valetta, Malta.
