Jayant grew up in what was called Bombay, in India. Since he was interested in audio and music from a very young age, he studied Electrical Engineering as well as Music Engineering.
Most of his career has been spent working on designing audio products and DSP algorithms. His first job out of graduate school involved designing the first digital mixing console for on-air radio applications.
Prior to joining Audio Precision, Jayant worked at Motorola on their audio DSPs and at THX doing R&D on various innovative technologies.
Since joining Audio Precision, Jayant has rediscovered the ENTIRE world of audio again ... from speech to high-res audio ... from low power to high power applications ... from analog to digital to wireless and whatever the future has in store!
