Last Updated: 20070320, mei Saturday, May 5, 16:30 — 18:30T3 - REMAPPING AND DOWNMIXING Presenter: Jeff Levison Abstract: For the new Blu-ray and HD-DVD systems remapping of loudspeakers is possible. What this means is that a given mix loudspeaker position can be described and then on playback the room loudspeaker positions are used to balance the power distribution if there is a difference between the source and the playback speaker positions (or the number of speakers). Several examples will be played to demonstrate various remapping and downmixing scenarios in a real-world manner. |
