AES2-R Review of AES2-1984 (r2003): AES Recommended Practice - Specification of loudspeaker components used in professional audio and sound reinforcement
The current draft was discussed in the meeting and a number of revisions made [aes2-r-sec-101106.doc].
Clause 6.1, the definition of the noise source was clarified. Hutt will contact D. Keele for the sample file necessary to complete this document and to confirm that he has updated the spectrum to be flat to 20 kHz.
Clause 4.3.4 "Simulated program signal" was removed as unnecessary.
M. Yonge edited numerous statements to improve clarity.
Clause 5.3 "Method of measurement of compression": A number of comments were made concerning about what the test actually measures - that is, measuring the change of spl output with incremental voltage input vs. a 2.83v reference. The section was clarified to include normalized reference to output with increased power. C. Hughes accepted the task of rewriting clause 5.3.
Yonge will upload the updated draft. The working group should review urgently and, if necessary, comment as soon as posible. The goal is to finish and release this draft before end of this year (2010).
AES-1id-R Review of AES-1id-1991 (r2003): Plane-Wave Tubes: Design and Practice
The secretariat noted the action item to upload the formatted draft.

AES-X129 Loudspeaker Distortion Perception and Measurement
Voishvillo will upload his body of work to reflector. The working group should then review this material with the goal of producing a document that is essentially a reference list.
