To be folded into AES-X113, and retired after AES-X113 is published. Work under AES-X113 has not progressed. No action taken.

AES14-R: Review of AES14-1992 (r2004): AES Standard for professional audio equipment - Application of connectors, part 1, XLR-type polarity and gender
Secretariat to add editorial reference to IEC 61076-2-103 at next printing. B. Olson to revise scope to include reference to AES48. Secretariat to add editorial reference to AES48 at next printing.

AES26-R: Review of AES26-2001: AES Standard for professional audio - Conservation of the polarity of audio signals

AES45-R: Review of AES45-2001: AES recommended practice for single programme connectors - Connectors for loudspeaker-level patch panels
Propose to reaffirm.

Development projects

AES-X011: Fiber-Optic Audio Connections: Connectors and Cables Being Used and Considered for Audio
The draft was discussed. Should cable with 62.5 micrometre cores be removed, as it is no longer in wide use? Add jacket colors to tables. The scope to reflect these changes. Should a mono-mode option be introduced? It was felt that a co-leader would help this Task Group, SC-05-02-F, progress.

AES-X105: Modified XLR-3 Connector for Digital Audio
New drawings posted for the working group to review.

AES-X113: Universal female phone jack
Contents of AES-R3-2001 to be folded into X113. A. Eckhart to update annex A to include EIA version, and have new figures. Annex C to become a list of model numbers without drawings. J. Schmidt to provide tutorial. Still waiting for action.

AES-X123: XL Connectors to Improve Electromagnetic Compatibility
New drawings posted for the working group to review.

M. Natter to provide drawings of a proposed circumferential contact for the female XL-type connector. He will also investigate whether the proposed circumferential contact will work with any male XL-type connector that falls within the IEC Standard dimensions, or if tighter tolerance is required for a reliable connection. The male connector must have a suitable conductive surface in a band on the inside of the shell.

J. Woodgate had previously agreed to prepare a draft of the filtering document and this was awaited.

AES-X130: Data Connector in a XL Connector Shell
To document needs to consider the number of mating cycles that may be expected of the enclosed connector itself, and the working group should review this.
