AES17-R Review of AES17-2015: AES standard method for digital audio equipment - Measurement of digital audio equipment
Status: As per the discussion at the last meeting, sections 3.12.2 (Signal level, FS) and 3.12.3 (Decibels full scale dBFS) have clarifying notes to point out that a full amplitude sine wave is 0 dBFS, whereas a full amplitude square wave would be at 3.01 dBFS, etc. – updated document is online
AES-12id AES Information Document for digital audio measurements - Jitter performance specifications
Status: At the last meeting, this group approved the proposal to change the language to eliminate the usage of insensitive terms – the language in Section 4 has been updated.
Further review of the document resulted in a few changes: (a) to conform with industry usage, dBc/rtHz has been replaced with dBc/Hz throughout, (b) the Annexes were swapped and the informative reference section renamed to conform with current IEC practice, and (c) minor edits were made for consistency – updated document is online
AES-X217 Audio ADC test method and performance specification for archiving and preservation applications
Status: Task group (Richard Cabot, Ian Dennis, Chris Lacinak and Rebecca Chandler (Chris’ colleague) and Jayant Datta) documented discrepancies brought up by different reviewers. Subsequently, the potential discrepancies have been categorized and most have been resolved. Expected to complete this by the end of 2021-05 and circulate it within SC-02-01. After receiving feedback from SC-02-01, feedback will be sought from SC-03-06 [Working Group on Digital Library and Archive Systems].

No new projects proposed; however, SC-05-05 [Working Group on Grounding and EMC Practices] may seek some references/information from SC-02-01 in the near future.

The next meeting will be scheduled in conjunction with the AES 151st Convention, to be held online in October 2021.
