The May 2nd meeting of the St. Louis Section was held at CJ Muggs restaurant in Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Chairman Bill Schulenburg proudly addressed and congratulated this year's largest member turnout honoring the recent Webster University (Webster Groves, MO) Audio Production Degree graduates, and introduced updates from the Events and Public Relations Committees.
The St. Louis Section Advisor and Liason Officer Gary Gottlieb in conjunction with the Webster University AES Student Section Officers, also paid tribute to the hard work the graduates completed and wished them well in the professional audio engineering careers. Several new graduates joined the professional section, and a great evening of networking and friendship followed.
Justin Fisher, Public relations Committee Chairman, provided an update on the (now) annual "Gear"-age Sale to be held on June 18th at the Firebird in St. Louis. This is an outstanding chance for gear-heads to buy, sell and swap "toys of the trade".
Paul Hennerich (Treasurer) reported on the Section's continued positive cash position. Planning is underway to use available funds for upcoming events (in accordance with AES policies,) and to map next year's budgets and activities.
Lee Buckalew was nominated and voted into the position of AES STL Section Secretary in place of the departing (thank you and good luck on Washington DC) Joel Conrad. Eric Chancey was installed as the Chairman for the new Events Committee.
