Dave Missall from Sennheiser USA gave an outstanding, standing-room-only presentation to a diverse audience of students and faculty from the electrical engineering, acoustics, theater, and music technology departments. As this was Sennheiser's first recent visit to campus, Dave gave a technical overview of Sennheiser and Neumann brand microphones and discussed Sennheiser's wireless technologies which are used in Broadway productions, major sporting events, TV broadcasts, and concerts. After the presentation ended, questions from the audience prompted an informative discussion of recent events regarding the FCC's spectrum auction and the negative impact that new wireless devices may have on microphone wireless systems. Overall, it was a dynamic and interactive presentation that was enthusiastically received.
