Patchwerk's chief engineer, Mike Wilson opened up the studio doors to many curious ears. At this event the debate on analog versus digital was put to the test. Mike started off by tracking drums and sending the signal to tape and PT. Back on the SSL Mike switched back and forth between the two signals. Comparisons were also preformed between analog outboard gear and digital plug-ins. Our section chair, Timothy, brought in his homemade reverb plate! It was put up to the test against a Lexicon 960L. Everyone left with their own aural understanding on the differences between analog and digital.
