Summary
Christopher Spahr from Sennheiser gave a talk and demonstration of how high quality mics are becoming more common in live sound situations now that speaker and mic technology are getting better. We set up a set of speakers and demonstrated how high quality hand held mics reduce handling and wind noises. We also showed that the higher quality mics pick up more detail and have smoother frequency responses across the entire spectrum.
