Summary
Christopher Spahr from Sennheiser ran a digital mic shoot out in the Penn State School of Music's new and nearly finished recording studio. We recorded a violin (Grace Kim) and some vocal tracks using a variety of mics including the Neumann Solution D 01, M149(tube), the TLM 103(a and d), and the KM 184(a and d). There were some good questions about how the Neumann products are doing the A to D conversion as well as what the AES 42 standard includes.
