On Thursday 15th we gathered in our studio 2 in order to make the general rehearsal of Audio Expertos 2022. Along with the acoustics and audio stuff (mono & tetrahedral IR's, and multiple speaker time aligning) we discovered a few things concerning the tetrahedral Ambisonics take. First, to enhance spatial source location, by doing geometrical aligning with the floor just like people in ancient Egypt with the pyramids (this is using a square tool pairing each microphone). Afterwards, adjusting preamps to the measured microphone sensibility of each transducer by using previous information from other section projects (the spectral tuning & the first microphones, as well as the school technical datasheet), in order to enhance SNR and balance, above all on far field situations in the room. So, our 3D Audio department worked more than the other ones in this meeting...
