Webster's very own 'Large Spoon' performing for the AES Fall Concert Series.
This month, we had multiple AES meetings where we were able to talk about opportunities for students. These opportunities include audio jobs while still in school, and how to go about getting internships that we can use for credit. We also had a day for alumni to come in and tell us how they are getting involved in the audio realm, and tips for searching for jobs as well.
Our officers were also able to attend the AES online convention! We have enjoyed being able to watch professionals talk through their processes and really dig into their fields of interest. Along with going to the convention, we are using this as an opportunity to scout for speakers for our annual student summit that we organize at Webster University. If any of the speakers peak our interest, we are sure to reach out to them and see if they would be gracious enough to join us.
Our month ended perfectly with our very own AES Concert Series. We were able to welcome two amazing bands to our campus to put together a concert free of charge for the students to enjoy, and our attendance was great!
