On Friday, October 8th, 2021 the Student Section Vienna made its first event for a long time. Mario Niehren a Tonmeister-Student of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with great knowledge about Teensy DAW Controllers held a presentation where he explained theory about MIDI, Teensy, the Mackie HUI protocol and also demonstrated his self made DAW controller.
After the speech the goal was that every workshop attendant makes his own mini-controller in combination with his favorite DAW. The transport bar of the chosen DAW should've been handled with small buttons on a breadboard connected to a teensy. Mario was supportive for each participant if it didn't work as expected.
At the end nearly every participant managed it to control the transport bar of the chosen DAW.
