AES Section Meeting Reports

Webster University - January 31, 2021

Meeting Topic:

Meeting Location:

With the end of the fall semester and the beginning of the spring, Webster's AES has been taking it easy. After a long but much-needed break, students are getting back into the swing of things with school, as well as preparing for Webster's Central Region Audio Student Summit, which is just 7 weeks away, on March 19-21, 2021.

In weekly meetings, the section has discussed more ways to keep busy during pandemic times and music influences. Though not much has happened in January, upcoming months this semester have a lot planned. We will be hosting guest speakers Paul Womack, a New York producer and engineer, and Broadway and Muny Sound Designers, David Patridge and Tracy Cowit. Coming up in February is another Virtual Concert Series, hosted on Facebook Live. Though we can't host our typical annual 12-hour recording day due to COVID precautions, Webster is still keeping busy and giving students lots of new and fun opportunities.
