On Thursday May 14, the musician-technician-producer Jorge Chikiar, gave us a virtual seminar of approximately 2 hours, addressing music production as a theme, from an artistic, technical and philosophical point of view. There was a lot of interaction between the speaker and those who attended the webinar, generating a kind of back and forth on different approaches, in turn answering many questions that arose, as Chikiar continued with his presentation. "An aesthetic need always becomes a technical or technological resource", these words were the title of a slide, which gave the kickoff to his presentation. In turn, he addressed the different classes of producers, and the roles that a music producer has. By way of closing, he conceptualized themes such as structure, tempo, meter and dynamics of a song.
