The seven members of the METAlliance group including Phil Ramone, Chuck Ainley and George Massenburg spoke to about their experiences of dealing with the latest technologies, including 5.1 home theaters and MP3 players. We were exposed to sound quality examples that pitted CD recordings to MP3's of different sample transfers. Each member of the panel gave a presentation followed by a Q and A session. Afterwards, we were taken on a small tour of the Capitol Records mastering facilities. This was a true delight.
