AES hosted a demonstration of Sonarworks sound calibration software as we calibrated loudspeakers in our studio a control room. Sonarworks uses a room's frequency response to remove unwanted color from studio speakers or headphones, either on a system-wide level or as a DAW plugin. We invited members to see this powerful tool in use and learn how they can create an accurate listening environment in a home studio or headphone mix. Students assisted in the calibration test and were able to compare multiple mixes with and without sonarworks' correction profile.
