Here at Webster AES we kicked off the month by collaborating with Campus Activites, providing sound reinforcement for a joint showcase featuring four local bands. The venue was packed and our student volunteers did a fantastic job of making sure that everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
Shortly after, we held nominations and elections for five new officers to help put on our annual Central Region Audio Student Summit in the areas of hospitality, logistics, and transportation. In the meantime, we've been busy reaching out to sponsors and presenters for the Summit, as well as brainstorming events and how to make use of our newly renovated communications building.
In addition, just last week we held our networked audio workshop at Ironman Sound Industries a local St. Louis production company, as students went to get their hands on a playground of Dante-enabled devices.
The semester is quickly headed to a close, and we wish all of our colleagues luck on their upcoming exams!
