• S4 Recording Workshop is a unique project aimed to provide a reference recording to music industry in Taiwan. Section members will participate the recording, mixing, mastering and comparative listening tests. The outcome versions will be multiple with complexity as well as diversification over one song. Music data collected in this project will then be open for academic purposes.
• This session today on 17th of Nov. is targeting on a newly composed Jazz Trio song "The S4 Prelude", and it has actually been designated as the prelude to our main project afterwards.
• Over 30 members have greatly supported in workshop today, whether there is venue issue, equipment issue or set-up, sound check, recording jobs during the session, all had been taken care of properly. The output is a set of 24/96 multitrack data which will be prepared to handover to mixing and mastering engineers members afterwards. We were expecting to output several mixed and mastering versions of "The S4 Prelude" in next two months.
