The Ordinance to the Federal Act on Protection from Non-Ionising Radiation Hazards and Sound (V-NISSG) is going into consultation.
For events, it is intended to replace the previous sound and laser regulation V-NISSG with an extended scope of application (also included are events without loudspeakers, like the Carnival ...).
It is not so much the limits which are being revised. The requirements for sound measuring devices (type-approved and calibrated by Metas), which are required for official sound measurements or for sound measurements by the organizers, are being revised.
These and other aspects were hotly discussed on 16 April in Zurich at an event attended by many participants from associations, organisers and affected parties.
