Special General Meeting and visit: MotorMusic S1 control room
The previously dormant Belgian Section of the Audio Engineering Society was resurrected at a successful inaugural visit to MotorMusic studios in Mechelen, a beautiful provincial town between Antwerp and Brussels. Following a tour around the wonderful facilities, a Special General Meeting was held to elect an emergency committee and propose a plan of attack until the first regular Annual General Meeting near the start of 2019. Brecht De Man now chairs the section, assisted by Frank Duchêne (vice chair) and Gert Van Hoof (Secretary/Treasurer).
Currently a modest section in absolute numbers, a significant portion of the membership was present and showed great initiative and enthusiasm to revive the professional section and reach out to the wider Belgian audio community.
