The engineer Millán presented the very well know proximity effect as a powerful tool in production decision.
Being something inherent to every directional mic, the proximity effect can bring to the recorded material some interesting features regarding color and texture. These features were presented as very interesting tools that engineers can take advantage of in the recording stage with focus on how the sound will be modeled in the mixing process.
This event was held three times in a day in three different universities of the city of Medellín Colombia. Universidad de San Buenaventura, ITM and EAS.
