Summary

The third consecutive participation of the Audio Engineering Society Argentina Section at Caper Show Expo (October 25-27, 2017) left as a balance a masterclass of Live Sound with a full house with an average attendance of 300 people in Costa Salguero Center.

The speakers Carlos Nolan, Pablo Peyrano and Juan Cana San Martín approached theoretical concepts about the internal architecture of six of the most important digital consoles on today's market. The aim of the seminar was to understand its internal functioning and how to optimize it. Among the topics discussed were external synchronization, network protocols, native and external plug-ins, computer architecture, etc.

After the conceptual approach, the audience had contact with the digital desks. To make possible this interactive activity, it was used mixes from famous bands and a headphone system was enabled so that practically all of the audience had access to listening while the controls were being handled In this way, it was shown how to take the most of the creative possibilities of external processes, internal routing and delay compensation for both cases.

In addition, during the expo, the Argentina Section received dozens of CVs that will be presented to the exhibiting companies with the aim of promoting the labor insertion of Argentine audio workers.
