It has been a very exciting month at Webster University. Attending the 143rd AES Convention in New York was a great experience for our chapter. We got to sit through many informative panels on a variety of topics, get hands on with a lot of new and exciting gear, such as new speakers and consoles, and speak to a lot of successful people in the industry. There was a lot of interest from panelists and exhibitors to come be a part of our Central Region Audio Student Summit (C.R.A.S.S) happening February 23rd through the 25th 2018.
On October 13th, we held our first concert series of the year. We provided sound reinforcement for three bands. There were several students that helped setup and tear down and even got chances to mix the show.
For the following month, we have a film series planned for November 12th, where we will be providing sound reinforcement for a band that is going to play over a silent film. We will also be holding nominations and elections for the Summit Officer Positions.
