The meeting was called to order at 7:20 p.m. by Section Chairman Steve Owens. Given that this was the first meeting held in some time, there were no minutes from a previous meeting for review. In the absence of the treasurer, no formal treasurer's report was provided, however, it was noted that the section has approximately $2,500 in its bank account. The account is currently frozen because of lack of activity. This account will be reactivated as part of the section's reactivation.
The first order of business was to establish chapter leaders. A slate of candidates was presented:
Chair: Donna Miller
Vice Chair: Ian Corbett
Secretary: Chriss Scherer
Treasurer: Bob Beck
A vote was taken for the candidate slate, and all were accepted unanimously. The new officers assumed their responsibilities immediately.
Additional discussion covered meeting topics and locations, creating a chapter website, and identifying and recruiting new members.
