Summary
The concert was organized by the Centro Europeo per gli Studi in Musica e Acustica of Lugano as an opportunity to experiment old and novel recording techniques in a peculiar environment like a church building. The occasion for the concert was provided by J.S.Bach's birthday, so the program is monographic: preludes, fugues, trios and chorales will be performed.
Everybody was kindly invited to bring his own setup, no-matter how strange it might be. Multi-channel, ambisonic and more simple techniques had been announced.
The surround recordings will have a follow-up in Rome, Italy next April at the "Casa del Cinema" for an AES-Italia event on Dolby Atmos.
