Summary

We opened the meeting at 8:05pm with introductions. We went around the room and said our name, what cycle we're in, where we are from, and if we could have a superpower what it would be. After that, Aaron Williams (current AES Vice President), presented the upcoming events, highlighting this Thursday, May 12th we will have Hector Moreno giving a presentation in the Live Sound Venue at the Gilbert Campus. Then, we have Jeff Thomas giving a seminar on how to build a Sub-Kick, followed by an actual Sub-Kick build that students will be encouraged to purchase the materials and participate in building their own Sub-Kick. Blue Microphones will also be coming to CRAS on May 24th, during which they will be announcing the winner of the raffle of the Bluebird Microphone that is currently being held at the conservatory. After Aaron was finished, we opened the floor to all new ideas. We started off with a suggestion of the Student Run Live Concert, a concert put on by student for student with students as the artist in the Gilbert Live Sound Room. We then had a suggestion for a Music Appreciation event, where we could meet and bring all our favorite music, network with other CRAS students, and build more community around the common interest of music.
