The meeting was called to order at 8PM, and Chapter President Stephenson began once again by introducing the current officers. Noticing the number of new students in attendance, Mr. Stephenson initiated a round of introductions around the room, starting once again with the officers. The newer students came from locations all over the United States and a wide variety of musical backgrounds, from New York to Hawaii, and from hip-hop backgrounds to roots in classic rock. As an ice-breaking exercise, each attendee was asked to share one of their musical "guilty pleasures." The exercise appeared to work well, as the group seemed to become much more comfortable with one another, sharing in laughter and reassurance at each other's' musical tastes. After the introductions were finished, President Stephenson went on to discuss the upcoming events (listed above), taking time to focus specifically on the visits by Fred Aldous, Lev Lewis, and Luca Pretolesi, as well as the Internship Boot Camp. He talked about Fred Aldous' credentials and mentioned how it looks like Mr. Aldous will be mixing the Super Bowl in 2017; he also explained how the Lev Lewis and Luca Pretolesi events were completely made possible by the actions of Production Team Members, using these examples to urge those in attendance to reach out to people they would be interested in seeing come to CRAS. After discussing the upcoming events, the team moved on to discuss potential future events. The MIM Tour and the Campus vs. Campus video game battle were confirmed to be happening, only waiting for the dates to be finalized. It was also announced that the MIM Tour will cost $20 per person, as the Production Team was unable to secure a student discount on tickets for the event. After the announcements about those events and the reading of the current event list, the floor was opened to all those in attendance for ideas. Many ideas were tossed around, including another songwriting clinic and several studio and venue tours. After the new suggestions were finished, the meeting was adjourned at 9:03 PM.
