Summary

The presentation included a brief introduction of speech intelligibility by looking at some of the current problems and solutions. Using Smaart, speakers, and a microphone, Fred Gilpin and David Yang showed how system designers measure speech intelligibility, and identify ambient noise problems. In addition, Yan Zhan, System Designer of Sharp's Audio Visual, discussed predicting intelligibility during the design phase using simulation software.
