On July 24th, the conference "Detail, Process and Acoustic Models in EASE" took place at the University of San Buenaventura in Bogotá. The event was led by Dr. Ana Maria Jaramillo, architect and acoustic consultant whose career is reflected in acoustic projects, events and recognition of great importance , as well as being part of two large companies such as Olson Sound Design and Ahnert Feistel Media Group, and an active member of the American Acoustical Society, AES among others.
The speaker opened the event by giving information about her academic and professional development, in addition to talking about the company Ahnert Feistel Media Group, followed by one of the most used softwares in the acoustic medium such as EASE (Acoustic Simulation Software for Integrators, Engineers & Acoustical Consultants). A tool that has been of great importance in processes of simulation and modeling of acoustic and electro acoustic behavior of sound performance spaces, where high quality is required. Likewise, she highlighted the level of detail necessary to make a correct acoustic model, because it is one of the most important questions evidenced in software support.
After a presentation of what this tool is offering, the speaker talked about some work done in her professional experience, working as an architect, sound designer, consultant and writer.
Finally Dr. Ana Maria Jaramillo emphasized how amazed she was when she got to the country due to the increase in the sound awareness in Colombia, a country where every day the sound and quality is gaining importance.
