Keynote speaker Ezequiel started his seminar by first explainig the shift in the definition of a mastering engineering from the old days to modern times; this would also explain a little bit of the reason for the lack of credits in the beginnigs of international recording industry.
The stage was set for properly listening to the top-ten chosen albums: lights at the control room at Estudio were turned off and a fixed playback volumen was set in order to enhance the audience's attention and perception.
Ten records that made somewhat history in audio and in the mastering field in particular were discussed and partly heard, mentioning the processes and techniques utilized, all the different formats, new versions and remasters, loudness war casualties, and above all, the genious ME behind this.
