SECTIONAL STATUS
At 12M, the AES San Buenaventura Section meeting started, with the participation of the engineer Andrés Millán, current Chair of the AES Colombia Section. Different subjects were addressed, but the main theme of the meeting, were the events that the student sectional must execute to maintain the section active. For this reason, the committee with the help of the Chair of AES Colombia, planned several events for this year.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
October 1st: Demo of the console Studer Vista 1 with the panelist Ángel Pérez (Puerto Rico).
October 16th: The conference "Production and mixing of vocal ensembles" by the engineer and producer Juan Sebastian Bastos from Tambora Records. The event is going to be dictated in the Engineering Symposium organized by the IEEE Student Section and will be sponsored by Retro Knob, Universal Audio and Dangerous Music. Also, will be supported by the University of Saint Buenaventura and AES Section Colombia.
November 5th: The Conference "Musical Production" will lectured by the renowned musician and producer Juan Carlos "El Chato" Rivas (Shakira, Maia, and La Derecha).
Also, the section is planning to develop a Recording Competition in the first semester of 2014.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
The Chair of the AES Section Colombia Andrés Millán, exposed to the section the tools that the AES Portal offers to the Student Section. The following conclusions were addressed.
Create a Website in the AES Server.
Update Section Officers.
Create Meeting Reports.
Use AES Promotional Material for recruiting members.
Recognize certificate, financial forms, guidelines tools.
Without other issue to be addressed the meeting ends at 3:00 PM.
