Summary

"Today's high-tech broadcasting environment presents an interesting set of challenges to audio console designers: while all broadcast-related operations become increasingly computerized, industry trends in TV and Radio often pose diverging technical and operational requirements. This talk will explore some of the adaptations of digital audio consoles to specific broadcasting applications. Discussion topics will include ergonomics, metering, networking, I/O-sharing, remote access and control, as well as integration with talkback, telephone, router-control, and automated production control systems."

About the presenter: "Kypros Christodoulides has been the STUDER Sales Support Engineer for Soundcraft Canada since 2004. He holds Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering (Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Massachusetts, 1993) and in Music & Sound Recording (McGill University, Montreal, 1997). His past experience includes work as an audio electronics engineer, a classical & jazz recording engineer, and a freelance live sound engineer."
