Danilo Comminiello is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor with the Department of Information Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications (DIET) at University of Rome "La Sapienza", Italy.

His current research interests include machine learning and signal processing, particularly focused on audio and acoustic applications.

Danilo Comminiello is Member of the "Audio Engineering Society" (AES) and Member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Section of the AES.

He is an IEEE Senior Member, Member of the IEEE Machine Learning for Signal Processing Technical Committee (IEEE Signal Processing Society), and Member of the "Task Force on Computational Audio Processing" of the IEEE "Intelligent System Applications" Technical Committee (IEEE Computational Intelligence Society).

Danilo Comminiello serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, I: Regular Papers and for Hindawi Complexity and he is also one of the Editors for the book "Adaptive Learning Methods for Nonlinear Signal Processing" (D. Comminiello and J.C. Príncipe, eds.), Elsevier, June 218.

He was a co-organizer of special sessions on audio computational methods and nonlinear filters for audio and speech applications at EUSIPCO 2016, IEEE MLSP 2016, and EUSIPCO 2017.
