The Systems Network Engineer is part of the Advanced Support Team. This role is responsible to deliver advance network troubleshooting to support our internal and external partners on matters related to Ethernet networking. In doing so the Systems Network Engineer advises and directly applies best practices and protocol specific requirements to performance networks as needed. Occasional business travel is required.

The successful candidate works professionally with all levels of employees and interface flawlessly with external professionals, distributors, and dealers. The candidate for this position must possess exceptional communication and teamwork skills.


  • Direct support of QSC project sites requiring advanced network troubleshooting or configuration.
  • High-level troubleshooting of performance networks including software, hardware, and configuration.
  • Direct support of and collaboration with internal teams (level I/II support, software quality assurance, hardware test) to provide the best possible outcomes for QSC clients.
  • Provide network diagnostics training to Level I and Level II team members to increase support team members skillsets and improve customer experience.
  • Development of network best practice and troubleshooting documentation for internal and external partners.


  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related field desired.
  • Possess active network certifications
    • CCNA, an equivalent or higher
    • CompTIA Network+ desired
  • 1-3 years direct experience with layer 2 and layer 3 networking.
  • 1-3 Years Experience with VoIP/SIP communications.
  • High independence. Must be able to troubleshoot systems and make high quality decisions with minimal oversight. Must be able to identify training and documentation needs for internal/external partners and create assets independently where necessary.
  • Solid understanding of Quality of Service (QoS), multicast, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking
  • Good knowledge of Ethernet switch CLI command line interfaces required
  • Expertise with IPv4 Subnetting /VLSM
  • Understanding of streaming Audio Visual media (RTP, SDP, etc.)
  • VoIP/SIP communicationsâ—¦Solid understanding of SIP protocol, gateways, registrars
  • Expertise in using and analyzing VoIP packet captures
  • Experience with VoIP administration a plus (any of Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, ShoreTel, NEC, Siemens, Samsung, etc.)
  • Understanding of SNMP Agents, Clients, MIB
  • Experience with Linux shell environment is a plus
  • Familiarity with modern IP-based Audio-Visual equipment is a plus
  • Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PPT)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting specific deadlines
  • Good written, verbal & collaborative skills
  • Creative, motivated and quick learner
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions within designated area of responsibility
