We are currently seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team. Candidates must have experience in engineering, interfacing with engineering contractors, and outside resources. This role will develop, implement, and sustain programs to implement process improvement and innovation. To lead and manage projects effectively, the Project Manager partners with cross-functional teams to identify integration points and interdependencies between processes to develop and execute the project plan, and deliver project objectives.
Develop, implement, and maintain the infrastructure of Project Management processes, procedures, support tools, and systems using industry best practices and business experience.
Collects and integrates project data including capture, analysis, and reporting of project performance, cost, and forecast impacts. Performs what-if analysis, revisions to project plans, schedules, and budgets. Maintains variance analysis for the project and assists with identifying and tracking issues to completion. Responsible for meeting established project reporting deadlines and data accuracy.
Performs schedule and cost peer reviews.
Develops and implements changes to project documentation, presentation materials and status reports. Initiates, processes, and tracks incorporation of project change requests.
Identifies potential schedule and/or cost issues. Proactively informs managers of these problems and proposes resolutions with enough time to prevent a negative impact.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Certifications, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus five years of progressively responsible experience analyzing project performance management or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Proven knowledge of Project Management concepts.
PMP certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Self-motivated problem solver with excellent analytical skills
Knowledge of all cost and schedule related activities, (e.g. Work Breakdown Structure, sequencing, resource loading, and other controls)
Knowledge of project management functions and computerized performance measurement systems for cost and schedule.
Strong skills in developing, cultivating, and maintaining internal and external working relationships
Ability to perform independent variance analysis.
Knowledge of risk management and analysis.
Maintains professionalism and accuracy while supporting interruptions in a dynamic working environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with project teams.
