Analog Hardware Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical circuitry, including schematic entry and PCB layout.
• Troubleshoot hardware prototypes and verify all aspects of electrical performance.
• Determine optimal solutions to hardware design issues discovered during design verification
• Source and cross components
• Create engineering change notices as necessary
• Ensure product compliance with applicable worldwide electromagnetic and safety standards.
• Create accurate test reports, bills-of-material and other technical documentation.
• Design and develop  production test fixtures for PCBA and product final test.
• Support new design ramp-up at contract manufacturer sites,
• Support ongoing production, as-needed, by investigating manufacturing and component end-of-life issues.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• 5+  years of experience, preferred experience in professional / consumer audio industry
• Knowledge of design, analysis and implementation techniques
• Experience designing and troubleshooting digital and analog hardware
• Experience using a range of hardware and software development tools
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Experience with Solidworks,  designing schematics and laying out PCB’s
• Knowledge of embedded systems and executing tests on those systems
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Software Engineer

This is an onsite position located in our offices in Santa Monica, California. Where employees have access to the world-class Apogee Studio and live performance space.  Apogee Studio hosts KCRW's Apogee Sessions which have featured performers like the Alabama Shakes, John Legend, Toro y Moi, Beck and many more.

Job Description:

We are looking for a software engineer to join the Apogee software team.  We are looking for a self-motivated individual with experience writing clean, modern C++ code.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4+ years professional experience in software development
• Strong C++ skills
• Experience in OS X and Windows development
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the US

Additional desirable skills:

• JUCE
• Embedded Linux
• Experience developing audio applications
• Understanding of audio recording, DAW software & audio interface hardware
