My name is Kierian Turner and I would like to be an artist manager. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Music majoring in Digital Audio Arts at the University of Lethbridge. I am currently in the final year of my program and cannot wait to start working in the industry. I have been composing since age 15, from classical to medieval to hip hop music. I started to develop more of a passion for the industry and business aspects of music when I got more involved with the Audio Engineering Society University of Lethbridge Student Chapter as an Executive member. Through this position, I began coordinating and planning our fundraiser concerts at local venues and the campus pub with the Executive team. I have now been a part of the local AES chapter for three years, two of them as an Executive member. I have been involved with planning music festivals such as the University of Lethbridge ULSU's Fresh Fest 2018 and 2019 as the Jamboree and Events Coordinator. My interest in immersive audio led Dr. Amandine Pras and I to conduct a study on binaural spatialization for hip hop music. Alongside colleague and friend Carter Potts and under the supervision of Dr. D. Andrew Stewart, we designed an augmented drum kit through the use of MYO armbands.
