Elias Nemer is a member of the CTO office at DTS (a subsidiary of Xperi), in Calabasas, California. He is involved in R&D work for high-end Audio Coding and ML-based audio perception. Prior to DTS, he was a principal scientist at Broadcom Corp (from 2006 to 2014), where he developed speech enhancement algorithms for mobile telephony. From 2000 to 2006, he was at Intel and contributed to the design of broadband communications systems. He holds a B.Eng , M.Eng and MBA from McGill University (Montreal, Canada), and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada). Dr. Nemer has co-authored several papers and patents related to signal processing for audio and communications systems. He is a member of AES, a senior member of IEEE and a reviewer for various publications in signal processing.
