Andreas Niedermeier studied Mathematics at the Fern-Universität Hagen, Germany. He received his Diploma in Mathematics in 2010 with a thesis on Wavelet Compression techniques. In 2011 he joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) in Erlangen, Germany. He contributed to the development of EVS and MPEG-H 3D Audio. Currently he is focusing on the development and deployment of the MPEG-H 3D Audio encoder.
