Panagiotis - Marios Filippidis is a PhD candidate in the School of Journalism & Mass Communication at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the area of advanced semantic web services for sports content management. He holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a M.Sc. in Web Science, School of Mathematics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His area of research includes Semantic Web, Ontology Engineering, Big Data, Data Modelling, Data Journalism, Sports Analytics and semantic event identification and annotation in text and multimedia resources.
