Michael Cronk is Chairman of the Board for the Alliance for IP Media Solutions and Vice President of Core Technology for Grass Valley, a Belden Brand. Michael guides the critical development of Grass Valley’s core technologies with the aim of accelerating the company’s market delivery and ensuring interoperability and consistency across the portfolio.
Michael’s history with Grass Valley originally dates back to 1989 to 2008 when he held a number of growing roles over the period including General Manager of the Server and News business, as well as Vice President of Marketing. During this tenure with the company, Michael led the identification and implementation of Grass Valley’s expansion strategy into the news market. After a hiatus Michael re-joined the company in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Line Management where he was instrumental in the turn-around of the company prior to its acquisition by Belden. Between 2015 and 2016 he served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing, driving Grass Valley’s product roadmap and strategy.
