Dr. Yesenia Lacouture Parodi works as Senior Research Engineer at HUAWEI's German Research Center in Munich, where she develops sound reproduction technologies for mobile devices, with special focus on sound stage widening. In 2007 she received her master’s degree in Acoustics followed by a Ph.D. degree both at Aalborg University in Denmark. The main topic of her dissertation was binaural reproduction through loudspeakers. Before joining HUAWEI in 2013, she worked as a research assistant at the International Audio Laboratories Erlangen (a joint institution of Fraunhofer IIS and the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen), Germany, where she carried out research on speech enhancement and crosstalk cancellation. She is also a member of the AES Spatial Audio Technical Committee. Her main research interest are crosstalk cancellation, psychoacoustics and binaural reproduction.
